April, 2017

We are fortunate to have received a $500.00 donation from Finley Improvement. We are very grateful for this money as it will allow us to purchase large print books. Thank you to Finley Improvement.

A memorial in Dorothy Jackson’s name was given by Linda Bergenheier. Thank you.

The library will be hosting an open house during Finley Days. Watch for posters for more information.

We have been working many hours at the library, continuing to add books to our inventory. If you see a car outside the library and need a book, stop in. We’d love to help you out!

Do you have any audio books you’d like to donate? More people are asking for audio books. We have a few but could always use more. Think of us if you have any you’ve already listened to.

We have received many books new to the library recently so I will try to condense the information on them.

  • In the Mystery/Detective/Crime/Thriller categories we have one more book by William Kent Krueger but it’s not a Cork O’Connor book. It’s The Devil’s Bed, a haunting, suspenseful government conspiracy thriller.
  • We have a couple of Michael Connelly books in the Harry Bosch series – The Drop and A Darkness More than Night.
  • We have By C J Box, Badlands, set in the North Dakota oil fields.
  • With A Soldier’s Revenge by Matthew Dunn, we have the entire Spycatcher series. This is book #6.
  • The Cutthroat by Clive Cussler is a historical thriller.
  • Another Stone Barrington series book by Stuart Woods is Below the Belt.
  • 3 new books by J D Robb add to the In Death series. They are Festive in Death, Devoted in Death and Echoes in Death.
  • J A Jance wrote Man Overboard in the Allison Reynolds series. 2 tech geniuses face off, one hoping to save lives, the other to end them.
  • We have Women of God by James Patterson. Is the new Pope a woman?
  • In Contemporary Romance we have Toxic Bachelors and The House by Danielle Steel.
  • The Magnolia Story is the story about and by Chip and Joanna Gaines.  They are the stars of HGTV’s Fixer Upper. Find out who they are and the secret to their success.

Stop in and pick up a book or two. Library hours are Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

Check out our website www. finleypl.org. You can do a book search or author search if you’re wondering if we have something you’re looking for. It’s very simple to maneuver. Take a look at our Facebook page too!
