~~Starr Braaten

Don’t forget our open house on Thursday, June 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. There will be goodies but most importantly, a book sale. FREE children’s books, cheap hardcovers and paperbacks. It will be worth your while to stop in.

The library has been having some construction going on. A portion of the ceiling in the paperback room fell in. It has been repaired and the room will be back to normal this week. Thank you to you who came in looking for paperback books in the meantime and probably had to go home without one because they were all in boxes on the floor. Come back again this week. A big thank you goes out to Bill and Bob Paulsen who re-hung the shelves in the paperback room. It was a big project.

We’ve been receiving more books. Here are a couple of hints on what we have.

Money to Burn by James Grippando – A book of non-stop suspense. A financial thriller involving identity theft. One reviewer, Brad Meltzer, writes that this book will get you so excited and worked up , you just may go out and steal a few million. HC/LP

Born to Run by James Grippando -  (Jack Swyteck series #8) – An intense thriller, action hot and heavy, from the Everglades to Washington politics. You’ll be waiting for the next book. HC/LP

Deadline by Sandra Brown – If you’re a Sandra Brown fan. you know you’ll enjoy this book. It grabs you by the throat and you can’t stop reading until the very last page. It’s about a PTSD suffering journalist who is to cover the disappearance of the son of a pair of terrorists who are on the FBI’s most wanted list. Many twists and turns. HC/LP

Shiver by Karen Robards – Non-stop action in this romantic thriller. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time has awful consequences. HC/LP
