(HC/LP) (2016) (Kovac and Liska series #6) and See Me by Nicholas Sparks. (HC/LP) (2015) (no series).  Most of these new titles are due to donations from folks that are kind enough to share them with Finley Library after they read them.   Thank you!  The last two were purchased with cash donations made by folks who use or buy the books at Finley Motors, give finacial donations for birthdays, at Christmas or for memorials for thoose that we have known and loved who have passed on to that great library in the sky where their eyes are perfect and every book they ever wanted to read, but never had the chance to do so, is there!  Others have given out of the goodness of their hearts just because they appreciate the library and what the ladies who run it as volunteers are trying to do!

Remember to come and check us out!  Also follow us on Facebook at Finley Public Library.  You do not have to be on Facebook to do so.  I am not and I check often for new book updates, just to see what is going on and follow them.  Also we have a website that is finleypl.org where you can check to see  if we have a particular book or author you are interested in reading.

Here's a review:

Legal Tender by Lisa Scottoline.  (PB) (1996) (Rosato and Associates series #2)  Bennie Rosato is a lawyer with her very own law firm partnered (in more ways than one!) with another lawyer, Mark Biscardi.  The law firm is doing very well and then Mark fall for Eve Eberlein, an associate in the firm, and everything falls apart!  Then Mark is found dead and Bennie is the last known to have seen him alive.  When the police want to arrest her Bennie begins a romp through the streets of Philadelphia, posing as a lawyer from Washington D. C., a prostitute, a homeless woman and play-acting her way into various lawyer's offices, companies and the hospital to see her mother have a shock therapy treatment (which sounds terrible, but really is a boon for her mom.).  Having never read a book in this series, I was nicely surprised--lots of action, good humor, some romance--and a wild and wooly character that lets nothing stop her.  This is a fun and fast read!
